RT Group, Inc. (RTG) was retained by R.P. Iannuccillo and Sons Construction Company of Providence, Rhode Island to prepare all engineering submittals associated with conducting a load test of an existing timber pile as part of the Heritage Harbor Museum Project in Providence, Rhode Island.
The load test was completed by removing a portion of the existing concrete floor slab and constructing a reaction frame that was drilled and grouted into the existing slab. The frame was designed for conducting load tests of up to 50 tons.
