RT Group, Inc. (RTG) was retained by the Kent County YMCA to undertake outlet structure repairs at their Seasonal Pond located in Warwick, Rhode Island.
Repairs were needed because the existing gate valve at the outlet structure was leaking at a rate of about 100 to 200 gallons per minute, and the Seasonal Pond did not hold water during the summer of 2005.
RTG completed the inspection of the outlet structure, and prepared plans and specifications for the installation of a new stainless steel sluice gate, a new galvanized bar rack structure, new aluminum pipe railing, a new locking aluminum access hatch, and a new outlet pipe safety grate.
As a part of this project, RTG obtained the RIDEM wetland permit, coordinated with the local Building Official, obtained bids and recommended a Contractor for award, and provided Construction Observation.
