Photo 2RT Group, Inc. (RTG) was retained by Walsh Construction Company of Brockton, Massachusetts (WALSH) to prepare the engineering submittals associated with the construction of a Filter Building Addition immediately adjacent to the Salisbury River, the installation of a new 48-inch diameter PCCP line, and the construction of a new Grit Building and Scum Pump Station at the Brockton Wastewater Treatment Facility in Brockton, Massachusetts.

The Filter Building Addition was constructed using open‑cut construction techniques and RTG prepared the Dewatering Plan for this work, which was completed within about 20 feet of the Salisbury River.   PCCP installation included temporary earth support system design, including the installation of resistance piers to support an existing brick building that was immediately adjacent to the proposed PCCP alignment.

Grit Building and Scum Pump Station construction included temporary earth support system design for excavations that were about 9 to 17 feet deep immediately adjacent to existing structures.
