RT Group, Inc. (RTG) was retained by Specialty Diving Services, Inc. of North Kingstown, Rhode Island to provide design assistance for the deployment of a 110 ton concrete clump weight as part of the Sea ZephIR Deepwater Project for Deepwater Wind. The clump weight was transported from Quonset Point, RI to a deployment point 80 miles off-shore of Block Island, where it would serve as a mooring anchor on the ocean floor for the project's Metocean Buoy. The buoy is equipped to gather wind speed and directional information to be used for the planning of the wind farm proposed off-shore of Block Island.
